Sunday's Streamed Service
On this third Sunday in Lent we seek Redemption.
Leader: We have rebelled against you.
We have refused your love.
We have rejected your cross.
All: We repent and say sorry.
Leader: When we are tempted,
All: To be turned from you
to follow our own way
to listen to our own voice and not yours
Leader: Remind us Jesus, that we can listen with your ears
All: We can respond to your love
we can receive your forgiveness
we can be redeemed by you. Amen
To remind us of our Redemption we now place the symbol of the Crown of Thorns and Purple Robe at the foot of the Cross.
We now sing verse 3 of Hymn 287. The words are on the screen. Please remain seated whilst we sing.
See from his head, his hands, his feet,
sorrow and love flow mingled down;
did e'er such love and sorrow meet,
or thorns compose so rich a crown?
