The Triangle Junior Church has two separate groups: the Beginners Class and the Explorers Class. The Beginners class is for youngsters from the age of 3/4 years to 7/8 years. The Explorers class accommodates children aged around 7/8 years to 10/11 years. The Junior Church links with the Creche and New Youth groups who supply and receive children to or from the groups.
Don and Chris teach the Beginners class. We try our best to create a lively interesting time teaching about the Bible and the life of Jesus while playing games and having fun. The Explorers group has 4 teachers working in pairs. Jolene and Janene work together, concentrating on Bible stories and events, and using modern technology to keep the sessions interesting and enjoyable. Hannah and Emma focus on drama as a means of teaching and stimulating the children. Most sessions we start with two or three lively songs enthusiastically taught to both groups by Susy, which the children always seem to enjoy.
Once a month there is a Family Service when the children join with the congregation and take part by reading prayers bible passages and singing one or two songs they have learned. Both groups discuss and celebrate important dates in the Christian Calendar such as Easter, Pentecost, Harvest Time and at Christmas there is a Nativity enjoyed by the children and the congregation.
