Service Review: 5th Nov 2017

Today is the 3rd anniversary of the opening of our Church. The service began appropriately with the hymn no. 409 " Let us build a house where love can live", and prayers of Intersession and forgiveness led by Worship Leader Denis Kirkham followed.

Rev. Hilary then welcomed 7-year-old Ciara, Mum Jen and their family and friends to her Baptism service.

This was an especially lovely service as Ciara was happy to be involved, she and Jen shared in the reading of part of the service.

Following the act of Baptism, we sang their choice of hymn: "One more step along the world I go" Hymn 476.

Ciara's aunt, Julie Jones then read from Matthew chapter 21 v 33-42 "The vineyard".

Colin Nelson then read from 1Peter chapter 2 v 1-7. "The living stone".

Hymn 690 "The Church is one foundation", was followed by a prayer and the sermon.

Rev. Hilary began with the parable of the two builders, and the wisdom of laying strong foundations and firm cornerstones. We worship in a beautiful, structurally sound church building. In the three years since we opened for worship and community activities, we have become increasingly active, but this has to combine with "good foundations" and also "perfectly placed cornerstones" Jesus Christ must be at the centre of all that we do. Rev . Hilary then asked us all to consider the question, honestly, -------- "How are you and Jesus getting along together at the moment?". We must not neglect our relationship with Him.

Does your faith sustain you through all life's challenges?

Hymn 351. "In Christ alone, my hope is found"

Holy Communion

Rev. Hilary warmly welcomed everyone to this Sacrament, during which the choir sang.

Following a prayer of thanks we all. sang Hymn 487. "You shall go out with joy."

The service ended with a blessing from Rev.Hilary.

Service Review: 19th Nov 2017

The theme of the service was ‘What if John came to the Triangle today’, and after the welcome by our own minister, Hillary Howarth, and she opened the service with hymn number 264 in Sing the Faith ‘Make way, make way’ and it was sung with gusto and enthusiasm.

We then welcomed our first guest John the Baptist! Not THE John the Baptist but our own Glen dressed as John the Baptist preparing the way for the Ministry of Our Lord, Jesus the Son of God. Glen played a fantastic part and the throwing of the balls was enjoyed by all.
