Service Review: 4th September

It was lovely to see such a full Church for the Christening of Raeya Elizabeth Worsley - may God Bless her.

Rev. Hilary then asked us to consider the omnipresence of God in all our lives. It is a truly mind-boggling concept to accept that He knew us before we were born and knows our thoughts and actions even before we have them or undertake them. Having someone know your inner most thoughts is both inspiring and unnerving and how amazing it is that God can still love us despite all our failings in thought and deed.

In spite of our belief in God's plan for us and the world, there is still the big question that haunts everyone, believer & non-believer alike "If God knows everyone and everything, why doesn't he intervene to avert the terrible human actions like brutality, murder & war and the man-made disasters like earthquakes, floods & famine?" At the end of the day, the future of mankind on earth is in our hands. However hard the road or slow the progress, we have to strive to make sure that the right voices are heard and the right actions are taken. It is the thousands of small caring actions that can make the difference. This is the only way that God's will on earth can be carried out.

God Bless us all,

Kindly written by Stuart Whittle
