For yesterday's service at the Triangle we were pleased to welcome back Gail Danks who focussed on a now familiar theme as we seek to expand our church & mission: 'Our Calling - What can we offer?'.

Taking her theme from God's calling to Samuel, she challenged us to 'do our bit' for his ministry.

For however small our individual contributions may be, brought together as a congregation they can make a real difference. This challenge to us all was splendidly reinforced by the choice of hymns which included Colours of Day, Amazing Grace, Take This Moment and I, the Lord of Sea & Sky played beautifully by Ann on our new organ.

God Bless us all.

A Prayer by Robin Jones - 11 Years Old

Dear Lord,

Please help us to remember the people who were killed in the terrorist attacks in France.

We know that their families are sad and upset, so please guide them to be strong and to rebuild their lives. They did not deserve to lose their family members and we pray that it will never happen again.

God, we thank you for giving us wonderful and kind people to give things for charity. We also hope we will grow to be that person.

Also, please help us to be grateful for everything that we get and to remember that we are so fortunate.

Amen.

A Prayer (Sung to Edelweiss)

May the Lord, mighty God,
Bless and keep you for ever;
Grant you peace, perfect peace,
Courage in every endeavour;
Lift up your eyes and see his face
and his grace for ever,
May the Lord, mighty God,
Bless and keep you for ever.

Do Nothing To Change Your Life

Call to worship: Jesus said “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Spiritual de-clutter

Les has always said that when I die on my grave stone it’s going to say “She cluttered!” I do clutter it’s quite true. I don’t like to throw things away and I’m the magpie that collects everything because you never know when it will come in useful! Everything can be turned into a sermon illustration!
