Peter & Sally's Wedding

The day was a beautiful sunlit occasion, very different from the morning’s downpours. A day full of excitement and expectations, which were all realised.

Sally, beautiful in her wedding dress, was accompanied by her bridesmaids, resplendent in scarlet gowns. The church, standing room only, was humming with expectant, excited people, here to celebrate this popular young couples wedding day.

The ceremony ran like clockwork and included an album of photographs, recording the earlier lives of Peter and Sally. This caused some amusement as did the address by Rev. Susan McIvor, which enlightened us all on the content of the photographs.

All went well and the finishing touch was the invite to all and sundry to share coffee and home-made cakes with the wedding party. So many cakes, so many flavours, and so many bespoke designs. Quite a cake feast.

A happy day indeed.

Do Nothing To Change Your Life

Call to worship: Jesus said “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Spiritual de-clutter

Les has always said that when I die on my grave stone it’s going to say “She cluttered!” I do clutter it’s quite true. I don’t like to throw things away and I’m the magpie that collects everything because you never know when it will come in useful! Everything can be turned into a sermon illustration!
