Party In The Park: 2016

Prayers were certainly answered. After a week of rain we wondered whether the Party in the Park would take place.

On Sunday morning we woke up to a lovely sunny morning and the forecast was good for the day. After our morning service we made our way down to the park armed with gazebo and games , assembled the gazebo and we were all set. St. Peter's hosted the party together with the local churches and community partners.

There was an Open Air Church Celebration from 11.30 -12.30pm and at the end of the service hundreds of coloured balloons were set free and floated up into the sky.

The rest of the day it was a family fun day with lots of stalls, a dog show, classic car show police, fire and lifeboat displays, football cage, climbing wall, café tent and many more activities. On the main stage local children sang and danced, as well as lots of other musical events.

Families young and old flocked in from all over Bolton and the park was a buzz of activity. There was a great atmosphere and lots of conversations took place with different people. You felt God's love working throughout the community.

Thank you to our hosts St. Peter's Halliwell for organising and co-ordinating the event and look forward to next year's Party in the Park.
