Party In The Park

After months of planning with the Churches in the local area Sunday 25th soon came around.

It was a damp start to the day but the weather picked up and the sun appeared now and again, at least it kept dry. Party in the Park began with a service and the Mayor of Bolton officially opened the party.

There were plenty of stalls in the Gazebo Village including the Triangle stall, café area, prayer tent, bouncy castle, climbing wall, inflatable football pitch, there was a super hero parade, dog show and many more, some just sat watching the children dancing, including Bethany Atkinson who danced solo, singing or listening to groups including our Praise Band, there was something for all ages.

We did a Treasure Hunt which proved to be popular for the children, if only they could find the bears!!!! As the afternoon progressed the weather got better and more people turned out wandering around the Party in the Park.

The day closed with the Epilogue and blessing led by the ministers from the local churches and everyone went home after an enjoyable afternoon.

Service Review: 19th Nov 2017

The theme of the service was ‘What if John came to the Triangle today’, and after the welcome by our own minister, Hillary Howarth, and she opened the service with hymn number 264 in Sing the Faith ‘Make way, make way’ and it was sung with gusto and enthusiasm.

We then welcomed our first guest John the Baptist! Not THE John the Baptist but our own Glen dressed as John the Baptist preparing the way for the Ministry of Our Lord, Jesus the Son of God. Glen played a fantastic part and the throwing of the balls was enjoyed by all.
