Start!
Start! introduces Christianity through six DVD based interactive, small-group sessions. The Start! course makes no assumptions about participants’ background or experience or knowledge of Christianity or the church. It really does start from scratch.

Each session lasts about 90 minutes and is based around short, lively DVD programmes - two per session. Down-to-earth ‘vox pop’ interviews and settings including Blackpool beach, a fun fair, shopping centre and a junk yard prompt lively discussion. There’s time to chat and space for reflection - all in a style that aims to be honest and enjoyable.

If you are interested Start! will take place in the autumn. Please let Hilary know if you’re interested or want further information.

Sunflower Competition
The competition has now closed and in the foyer, there is a collage of sunflowers of all entries. Please could you look at it and vote. Take a raffle ticket, put your name on the back plus no. of the sunflower you have voted for and put it into the box. The winner will be announced on the 17th September.

Rota for Beginners and Explorers
Beryl has copies of the rota in the Explorer room for anyone on the list wanting one.

Thank You!
Jean Bradshaw thanks everyone for the flowers she received and your thoughts. She is waiting to go into hospital for another operation.

Happy 6th Birthday to Rhiannon on Monday 4th September!

Happy 4th Birthday to Faith on Tuesday 5th September!

Karen and Ian Guest and the family would like to thank everyone for the thoughts and cards, they received on the death of their Mum, Nellie Weatherall.

Service Review: 19th Nov 2017

We then welcomed our first guest John the Baptist! Not THE John the Baptist but our own Glen dressed as John the Baptist preparing the way for the Ministry of Our Lord, Jesus the Son of God. Glen played a fantastic part and the throwing of the balls was enjoyed by all.
