4th Advent Sunday: "You who bring good news to Zion, go up a high mountain. You who bring good news to Jerusalem, lift your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid: say to the towns of Judah “Here is your God."

Asubuhi njema na Karibu, Jambo, Bonjour, Darood, Sobh beklier

Good evening, we are delighted that you are with us tonight We hope you find your time of worship helpful and uplifting. Tonight, our Carol Service is led by our minister Revd. Hilary Howarth.

Christmas Eve Service: 11.30pm - Revd. Hilary Howarth

Advent Liturgy Week 4

Stop! Look around you. Have you been in the presence
of angels and not realised?
God sends his messengers to us;
take time to look for those God has sent to you
take time, to listen for angels speaking.

We rejoice to feel the peace that God brings, because at
Christmas God’s son enters the human story.
We will seek God, not in a long ago stable or ancient manger,
But in the people, we meet and the depths of our own hearts.

May the blessing of Christmas make you a blessing to others;
May the peace of the season pervade all that you do.
We will welcome the challenge of discipleship.
We will offer ourselves as God’s messengers.
We will go forth in hope, peace, joy, and love.

(The fourth candle is lit.)

Let us pray together
Loving God, as we light these candles, illuminate our lives.
Teach us the peace that comes from justice.
Fill us with the kind of joy that cannot be contained, but
must be shared.
Magnify your love within us.
Prepare our hearts to be transformed by you, so
that we may walk in the light of Christ. Amen.

(Chorus) Candles we light upon the Advent Ring
Proclaiming Jesus Christ our coming King.

1.Firm is your promise now from fear released We’re gathered in to your salvation feast. (Chorus)

2. Prophets you send to help us hear your call and bring your blessing: justice, peace for all! (Chorus)

3.To every age the herald’s voice rings clear: Prepare the way, God’s mercy now draws near! (Chorus)

4.Bearers together of your living Word Let every soul now magnify the Lord! (Chorus)
