What Did You Give For Christmas?

Thank you to everyone who gave to the various charitable causes we supported this Christmas. Your gift, no matter how large or small, has made a difference to someone else’s life.

This is what we as a church family gave:

  • Dozens of toys for children across the town, in partnership with the Lions.
  • 49 shoe boxes filled with goodies for families, to go to Eastern Europe.
  • 26 bags of clothes and blankets.
  • 20 pairs of old spectacles for Vision Aid overseas.
  • 100+ Christmas cards for MHA to distribute to people in residential homes or “Live at Home” schemes.
  • 200 jars of cranberry sauce to Urban Outreaches “Christmas dinner on Jesus.”
  • Volunteers to Urban Outreach to pack and deliver “Christmas dinner on Jesus” hampers.
  • Nominations to receive “Christmas dinner on Jesus.”
  • By sending 1 Christmas card to the church family and donating the money (£608-00) saved and from our collection on Christmas day we were able to purchase from “All we can.”
  • 2 gifts of “living water” at a cost of £230 each to provide water pumps as part of shallow wells in Uganda, each provide a reliable safe water source for an entire village.
  • A “shepherd start-up” gift at a cost of £35 to provide a sheep, along with training in breeding and leather production, for a farmer in Ethiopia.
  • A “grant for life” at a cost of £113 to pay for three women in Tanzania to set up their own businesses.
  • And from baking provided by “Baker Ron” we raised £113 for Children in Need back in November.

Well done everyone!
