We have quite a lively Junior Church, with up to 24 children from babies and toddlers, whose parents take turns to help supervise them.

Don takes the beginners class and has done so for many years. He ensures that they always have a lively and interesting time. Sally generally helps out in Don's class, but also lends support with our other two groups when needed.

Ben takes the Top group, mainly Senior School children. I take the middle group and in both of these groups discussions are encouraged.

Ben is also in charge of the Performing Arts. He is already organising the Christmas Nativity play in our New Church, which is much anticipated; after all, who of us can forget last year's Nativity, when the Aliens landed on Earth to witness the Birth of our Lord Jesus.

The young people also take an important role in our Services, with Bible readings, prayers and short Drama sketches throughout the year. They also take part in accompanying our singing, enthusiastically playing percussion instruments and waving flags during the second hymn, before moving into their groups, leaving the Church Congregation to reflect.

During Lent we try to raise money by making cakes for the Congregation to buy - usually the money goes to a Charity of the children's choice, but this Year it went to Resources to be used for the Sunday School in our New Church.

We are all looking forward to the move. Beryl Leighton.
