Please see leaflet included in this week’s printed notices. Brian Smith.

Continuation of Hilary and Les’s Journey

On Sunday 26th May we went to worship at Truro Methodist Church. I was especially looking forward to this Sunday because when this church had been suggested to me, I was interested in the comment on their website “We are a church of worship for all ages, not all age worship”. They had three services last Sunday morning (usually they have two) so we were at the 8.15am communion service, 9.22am band led service (we were intrigued why the service started at that time – any guesses?) and 11.00am traditional worship. It was a great morning, followed by a couple of hours chatting to their minister, Rev Mark Dunn Wilson and learning about worship, leadership and succession planning at Truro. The time flew by but reluctantly we had to leave as we had to start the long drive home from Cornwall on a Bank Holiday weekend!

We stayed overnight in Tewksbury and had lunch with David and Brenda King (David was the Chair of district before Paul Martin) on the way home. It was lovely to catch up with them and chat about some of our sabbatical experiences and thoughts.

Last part to be Continued next week...

Happy Birthdays!

To Adam Jones who is 17 on Monday 1st of July.
