Lent Liturgy for Week 4 : Symbol of the length of purple cloth.

Today is the fourth Sunday in Lent and we shall place the symbol of the length of purple cloth.

Please respond with the words in bold type.

The word of God was made flesh.
The authority of God rested in a human being.
The power of heaven embraced human weakness.
Jesus Christ challenges us to claim the world for God through love.

Jesus Christ challenges us to claim the world for
God through selflessness.
Jesus Christ challenges us to claim the world
for God through Sacrifice.

We shall now sing Verse 3 of “When I survey the Wondrous Cross”. Please remain seated during the singing.

His dying crimson, like a robe,
Spreads o’er his body on the tree;
Then am I dead to all the globe,
And all the globe is dead to me.
